How Computer Changes Our Life
As we all know that many aspects can influence our daily life. One of the biggest aspects is technology, especially the multimedia technology, such as the computer. People may be more familiar by the name of ‘PC’ or ‘Personal Computer’. Computer itself has many forms, which the most famous ones are the notebook (the portable one) or ‘PC’ (not portable one). Computer had influenced the human’s life in many ways, directly or indirectly. Firstly, computer influences our life in making all the things we have to do easier and simpler by using computer. For example for the academic purposes, we can do and submit assignments easier by computer to our lecturers. This can save more time than when we do assignments manually. Other influence is that computer can help us communicate with people that is separated from us far away which is hard to get in touch manually. But with computer we can communicate with them fast, easily, and simply. We can communicate with them as if there wasn’t any distance in between.
But it is not like there are only good influences that come from computer, but there are also bad influences that are caused from the computer. Many of them had been occurring lately. Mostly the bad influences caused pornography, violence, rumors, gossips, etc. Those social problems are really making the public become influenced too. The worst is that the public are influenced not in a good way, but in a really bad way. This can affect many other further matters which can damage the social circumstance in our life.
Computer can also make us become lazy, because of its easiness and effectiveness rather than if we do something manually. This is also can prevent us from being an intelligent person and even it can make us dumb and addicted to the computer and we can do nothing in our life without computer. Computer also can entertain us in many ways, by performing many thing on it. Many services that have been put onto the computer’s specification, such as the music-player, video-player and by using the internet service, we can do many other things that can entertain us.
In conclusion, we can say that computer has two different sides of judgement, the good one and the bad one. It depends on the people that use it. Good people will use it in good ways, and bad people will use it in bad ways too. But I think there should be a law that regulates the use of computer so that there won’t be anymore people that use computer for bad purposes and therefore, there won’t be any further and more serious matters that are caused by the bad use of computer. People also have to be more concern about the use of computer.
